Physician-led Weight Management and Corporate Wellness

As Summer Heats Up, Staying Healthy is Hot for Lifestyle Changes’ Corporate Wellness

June 21 officiates the beginning of Summer and when the weather gets hot, staying healthy is essential for body, mind, and spirit. Focusing on employee health in this new season is especially critical to my corporate wellness clients as summer is a tempting time to take off, indulge, and return to work fatigued.

So, to help others focus on my 3Ms – Mindset, Meal Planning, and Movement – I am hosting live events on the topics of summer meal swaps, simple meditations, and cooling exercise routines. These areas are part of my recent press coverage and health tips which I am sharing now, so individuals may incorporate these practices in their personal weight loss and wellness journeys. I hope these simple Lifestyle Changes are ones that may be part of your summer sojourns.

To learn more about my corporate wellness programs or to inquire how I may help in your personal weight loss, please email me at info@LifestyleChanges.com or set up an initial consultation here.

HEALTHY LIVING

Healthy Grilling

STAY LEAN – Select lean cuts of beef, pork, and chicken, no processed foods.

GO FISH – The “catch of the day” is perfect for the grill. Consider salmon steaks, halibut, and even the whole fish less likely to fall apart.

FRUITS AND VEGGIES – Indulge in the health benefits of vegetarian options including tomatoes, onions, bell peppers, zucchini, eggplant, endive, pineapple, mango, apple, and pear.

BETTER THAN THE BUN – Consider portabello mushrooms or romaine lettuce instead of bread to sandwich what you grill.

MARINATE, MARINATE, MARINATE – Include lemon and lime juice, vinegar, low-sodium soy sauce, honey, garlic, onions, herbs, and spices as fat-free options for flavor.

Doing Well by Doing Good

In celebration of a key milestone, Dr. Janine Darby, founder of Lifestyle Changes, strengthens her commitment to improving people’s health and uplifting her community.
by Bill Donahue

Lifestyle Changes has evolved in the three years since its inception. For example, Dr. Darby has expanded the services she offers to include a corporate wellness practice through which she works with business owners to improve the mental and physical health of the workforce. These programs, customized to each company’s needs, may serve as both an employee prerequisite and a competitive advantage.

“This particular company wanted to improve morale because you see a lot of companies whose employees are approaching burnout,” Dr. Darby says. “When employees feel that their employer cares about their wellbeing and they feel better about their own health, they’re more productive and the company thrives.”

The Philadelphia Inquirer covered this well-heeled event hosting more than 250 women and men and included me in the following society coverage.
